In the city of Kansas City, Kansas at the Bethany Hospital location, a bundle of joy was welcomed by Anita Stillman and Kenneth Edwards Jr. on November 3, 1987, and his name was announced David Ryan Edwards.
He graduated from Bonner Springs High School where he was known for his participation in choir, band, marching band, drama, art and positivity. David loved wrestling, poetry, comics, all things marvel, and drawing. He was a gamer who loved making people laugh and enjoyed spending time with family. He moved to California to embrace opportunities to enhance his passion to sing and write music in the entertainment world.
Upon returning to Kansas City,Missouri, he was linked to the HIMM Project organization through KC CARE Health Center as a prevention specialist. He spearheaded the "Blessing Bags" through Restoration to the Second Power Ministries and orchestrated the Agape Men's Retreat for the healing of aids. He recorded with Money Music Family Entertainment and was associated with several national recording artists.
David transitioned to his heavenly home on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at the home. David's infectious smile and deep dimples will be greatly missed by parents, Maynard and Anita Harvey; Kenneth and Tracy Edwards Jr.; brothers, Bradley Williams, Timothy Edwards, Tyrone Buskey, Aaron Edwards, Kentray Edwards; sisters, Keisha Jones (Steve Sr.), Stephanie Harvey and Joi Harvey; grandmothers Anna M. Stillman and Tommie Jean Ikpe; aunts, Sheila Miles, Regina Stillman and Deidre Harvey-McClellan (Allen); uncles, Chris Edwards (Danielle) and Duane E. Harvey (Rita); bro-cousins, Kendall Betts, Jonathan Betts, Stephon Betts(Carmen) and Nicholas Betts(Shelly); nephew, Steve Jones Jr.; nieces Kaiya Ross, Domonique Jones, Monique Young(Cameron), Tia Jones; cousins, Brandi Berry, Brittni Berry, Darryn Miller, Keirstin Harvey-Newton, Alexa McClellan, Synclair McClellan, Ina L. Mobley (Arthur III) and Dewaun L. Harvey; special friends, the "Valentines,"; a host of other relatives, friends and associates that designed a resilient support base.
Funeral services Saturday, February 29, 2020, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors Chapel. Interment Highland Park Cemetery Kansas City, KS. Visitation 9:00-11:00 am at the chapel. Service conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
