Obituary

Deacon Johnny Roscoe Hall, Sr. On Friday, April 10, 2020 God sent his angels to encamp around Johnny at his home. He was able to gently rest in Jesus' arms like the dew in the morning. His wife, children and grandchildren were with him when he peacefully made his transition.

Johnny was born Friday, July 14, 1944 in Kansas City, Missouri to Maggie M. Hall. His grandparents, the late Reverend Frank C. and Caroline Connery, whom he dearly loved and affectionately called "Daddy" and "Mama" raised him from an early age.

Johnny accepted Christ as a young child, and was baptized under the pastorate of his grandfather Rev. Frank C. Connery at Zion Grove M. B. Church. In 1962, Johnny graduated from Central High School as a proud "Central Blue Eagle." Johnny continued his education at Maple Woods Community College where he earned his Aircraft Mechanic Certification.

Johnny united in marriage with Deborah A. Williams, April 25, 1970. They were blessed with two children Johnny R. Hall, II and Di'Ann J. Hall. From his previous marriage Sherri D. Hall was a welcome addition.

Johnny's committed life to Christ continued to grow as a member of Concord Fortress of Hope Church. He served proudly on the Deacon Board, Parking/Transportation Ministry and supported other ministries as needed.

Johnny believed in serving others, and one way he could serve in the community was to donate blood. He loved people, and he normally would have a joke or just say something that could keep you laughing.

After 31 years of employment and a former Trans World Airline (TWA) employee Johnny retired from American Airlines.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Sherrie D. Hall, his mother, stepfather Clinton Bee, grandparents Rev. & Mrs. Connery, and John & Lela Earnest-Hall.

Johnny, leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memory: wife, Mrs. Deborah A. Hall, children, Johnny (Daynisha) Hall II, Di'Ann (Marlon) Lewis, and son-nephew Al R Williams (Felicia). Grandchildren: Shaunte Hall, Johnny R. Hall, III, Austin J. Hall, Darrion J. Hall, Madisyn J. Hall, Jaxson A. Lewis, Carter M. Lewis, and Braxton J. Hall; three great grandchildren: Maximillian J. R. Hall, Maverix A. Hall, and A'sya K. Hall. His brother, Larry D. Hall, Sr. (Melanie) and special aunt Alberta Hunter, all of Kansas City, MO. Also, a host of brother and sister-in-law's, a multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
