Obituary

De'Andrae Eugene Tolbert, 35, passed away on January 21, 2019 at North Kansas City Hospital. He was born March 26, 1983 in Kansas City, Missouri to Ricky and Rosalind Hampton. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. Otis Tolbert and Mrs. Rosa M. Tolbert; paternal grandparents, Mr. James Hampton, Sr. and Mrs. Louise Walker-Hampton; uncles, James Hampton, Jr., Eddie Hampton, Jessie Hampton, Willie Hampton, and Melvin Hampton; aunts, Betty Lou Hampton and Pearl Hampton; niece, Beautiful K. Tolbert; cousins, Tiwana Britt and Mickell Tolbert.

De'Andrae accepted Christ at an early age and attended Pleasant Green Baptist Church. He was educated in the Kansas City Missouri School District and graduated from Central high School in 2001. He furthered his education at Southwest Missouri State in Springfield, Missouri.

De'Andrae loved watching and cheering for his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys, as well as spending time with his children and family. He loved to debate, where he'd travel to different states for national tournaments. De'Andre also was an organ donor which speaks volumes to his love for helping others.

He leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter, Ly'niah S. Tolbert; one son, Drew Bostic; parents, Ricky and Rosalind Hampton; grandfather, Robert Gibbs; brothers, Robert Tolbert, Ricky Hill (Quvia) and Maurice Hill; sisters, Tina Tolbert-Howlett (Marvell), Tasha Jefferson (Donell) and Tanika Jackson; nieces, Da'Janea Courtney, Ma'Rojanea Tolbert, Ta'Riyah Howlett-Tolbert and Marriyah Howlett-Tolbert; special love, LyTania Culbert; special cousins, "M7Crew"; best friends, Derrick Hutton, Charles Alford and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Saturday, February 2, 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Green Baptist Church, KCKS. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
