Wilson
Oct 31, 1956 — Apr 7, 2025
Debora Ann Wilson, age 68, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on April 7, 2025,
gaining her heavenly wings. Debora was a devoted member of Kimball Baptist Church
in Kansas City, KS, under the leadership of Reverend Charles Anders.
Born on October 31, 1956, in Kansas City, Missouri, Deborah was the beloved daughter
of Elmer Wilson and Ora Lee Wilson. She attended Manual High School and later
graduated from Manual Vocational Technical School. Debora had a passion for
working with children, which led her to become a paraprofessional at Mark Twain
Elementary School in Kansas City, KS, where she served from 2000 to 2006 until she
fell ill.
Known affectionately as "D'Dub," Debora had a love for old-school music, with Luther
Vandross being one of her favorite artists. She also enjoyed attending concerts and
family gatherings. In her downtime, Debora loved watching her favorite TV shows,
including Dateline, the Wednesday night lineup featuring Chicago Fire, and the
Thursday night lineup of Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU.
Debora is survived by her five sons, Raymond Wilson (Ruby), Royce Wilson
(Kenyatta), William Wilson, Dustin Wilson, Wesley Wilson, and one daughter, Shakiya
Wilson (Dwayne). She was also the proud grandmother of ten grandchildren: Marlaya,
RoyShay, Rayauna, Raivionna, Royce Jr., Jay'Dion, Tyson, Tylah, Tristan, and Jordyn,
as well as one great-granddaughter, MarLei. Debora cherished every moment spent
with her grandchildren, and they brought her much joy.
