Deirdre Louise Maddox, 56, was born February 25, 1961 in Kansas City, Missouri to William "Bizz" Maddox and S. Louise Maddox. She was preceded in death by her father, William Maddox; paternal grandmother, Hannah Roberts and maternal grandmother, Ethel Fortman.

"Dee Dee", as she was affectionately known, was educated in the public schools of Kansas City, Missouri. She was employed by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City for over 35 years before retiring in February 2016.

Dee Dee had a calming spirit, loving unconditionally and without judgement. She enjoyed reading, sports, puzzles, and hamburgers. She loved spending time with her friends and family, and treasured the time she spent with her mother and granddaughters.

Dee Dee departed this life on Thursday, December 28, 2017. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Michael Maddox; mother, S. Louise Maddox; siblings, Dwight Maddox (Peaches)

Carmen Maddox-Dillard (Martin), and James Wesson; daughter of her heart, Denise Soliz and children; two granddaughters, Charjeandria (C.J.) and Makayla; two nephews, six nieces, and a host of other family and friends.
