Mother Della Wright-Bush was called to her heavenly home on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at 9:55 PM. She was 84 years young and was born on June 8, 1935 in Holdenville, Okla. Her family moved to Spencer, Oklahoma when she was a little girl. She attended Dunjee School in Spencer Oklahoma. Later as an adult she moved to Kansas City Missouri and lived there for a while, furthering her education, before moving back to work and retired from Saint Anthony's Hospital in Oklahoma City, where she was an emergency room nurse. Also upon returning to Oklahoma, she and a friend Mildred opened a café. After her retirement she moved back to Kansas City and continued to use her culinary skills at Christian Tabernacle Church of God in Christ cooking dinners for the entire congregation. She also went into the community feeding the homeless and she worked for the Pastor's aide and also raised money for the Church's radio broadcast.

Her commitment to her faith in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was a very sustaining force in her life. Because of her work in the community she has received several awards and accommodations from: Wright Family Reunion, Boys Town, Feed the Children, and many others.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Reece and Mary Wright Sr., her husbands: James Bush and Frank Major, and her siblings: Eva, Reece Jr., Evangelist Estella, Christine, Joseph, Bobby Ray, Cardilla, Reba, Thomas and Clabe Sr.

She is survived by son, Gerald (Hester), daughters: Cecelia and Debbie, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Funeral services Wednesday, March 11, 2020, 10:00 a.m. at Evangelistic Temple COGIC. Interment Leavenworth National Cemetery. Visitation 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the church. Service conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors.Condolences may be shared on our website.
