Obituary

Delores Ann Finsley-Smith, 78, was born on June 14, 1938 to the union of Waymon McCollins and Delliah (Warren) McCollins in Kansas City, Missouri. Her parents and a grandson, Damon Ivy preceded her in death. As a lifelong area resident, Delores was educated in the Kansas City Missouri Public Schools and attended Lincoln High School. She was employed at the Federal Employees Credit Union as a consultant until retiring. Delores accepted Christ and was a member of Unity Village Church of Lee's Summit, Missouri. Delores was united in marriage to Horace Smith who also preceded her in death. She was a great role model, mentor and friend who was always willing to lend a helping to those in need. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and was always there for her children throughout their ups and downs. Delores departed this life on May 4, 2017. She will always be remembered and forever remain in our hearts. She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, Kermit 'Ray' Roach (Annie), of Moberly, MO and Pastor Don Crowley (Sherry) of Wichita, KS; one daughter, Debra Roach of Raytown, MO; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 11, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment Leavenworth National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
