Obituary

Destiny Ai`gner Weaver, 25, KCMO, passed away on June 2, 2017. She was born May 8, 1992 in Kansas City, Missouri to Farroz Weaver and DiHaan Coody. She was preceded in death by Donald Woodrow Smith, Sr. (Grandfather) and Sandra Louise Coody (Grandmother). Destiny was baptized at an early age at Swope Parkway Church of Christ. She came to know and love the Lord at an early age. She rededicated her life in Christ on May 21, 2017 on the sermon of 'I'M THE COMEBACK KID!' Destiny was raised and educated in the Kansas City, Missouri area. She graduated in the class of 2010 from Center High School and left Kansas City to attend college at Langston University in Langston, Oklahoma for three years, where she maintained a 4.0 GPA to study Forensic Science. Destiny also has many other accolades. Destiny was the creator and owner of Fonk'd OWT Tees and Wigz Split Hair Designs. She also worked as a summer youth counselor at Swope Corridor Renaissance (summer camp program) for the past ten years. She has held several customer care positions including Farmers Insurance and Home Healthcare. Destiny was so full of life and had such a free spirit. She had a smile that would light up any room. She was a captivating and elegant young lady who took a great deal of pride in her appearance. She was a fashionable showstopper! Destiny's passions were modeling, doing hair and her God given gift for singing. She was affectionately known as a 'Selfie Queen'. She was an innovator and her intellect drew her to new experiences. She never wanted to imitate anyone and she always wanted to be unique. Destiny valued spending time with her family and friends. She will leave a huge vacancy in the hearts of many. She is well loved and will be eternally cherished. Destiny leaves to cherish her memory: her father: Farroz Weaver, of Jefferson City, MO; mother: DiHaan Coody (Wesley), of Kansas City, MO; one brother: Damyon Cook; one sister: Kinsley Poke, both of Kansas City, MO; grandfather, Larry Weaver (Brenda), of Kansas City, KS; grandmother: Sandra Weaver, of Kansas City, MO; uncles: Donald Franklin, DelShawn Smith, Donald Smith, Jr. and Brandon Fisher, all of Kansas City, MO; aunts: Anjail Belton (Isaac), of New Haven, IL, DiVawn Donahue, Dondra Smith and Dominique Coody, all of Kansas City, MO and a host of great grandparents, great uncles, great aunts, cousins and dear friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 10, 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Temple Church of God in Christ. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
