Dion P. Jones was born January 8, 1958 in Kansas City, Missouri to the union of Dolan F. Jackson Sr. and Leona Y. Jones who preceded him in death.

Dion was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri Public School District. He accepted Christ at an early age, he loved the Lord and was a faithful believer.

Dion loved his family dearly, he nourished the people around him with love, faith and music. He enjoyed life to the fullest watching sport the Kansas City Chiefs.

In the morning of Friday, November 9, 2018, Dion answered the Lord's call and crossed over into glory to be with the Lord. " For to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord." (2 Corinthian 5:8)

Dion is preceded in death by two brothers, Dolan F. Jackson, Jr. and Larry E. Jones, two sisters, Lois A. Jones and Tonda R .Jones, grandmother, Katherine Little, aunt, Mary K. Townsends (Shorty), uncle James L. Stafford(Roberta) , four nephews, Steven Jones, Patrick Jones, Micheal L. Nelson and Michael Steward, one great nephew, Raymond Smith.

He leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter, Niesha Holt; grandchildren, Thomas Killebrew Jr, Th'Rije Killiebrew, Th'Liyah Killiebrew, Ta'Ray Killiebrew and Earl Cumming's Jr.; three brothers, Ronald S. jones, Dewayne Jones (Cassandra) and Jimmie Jackson; five sisters, Carol E. Bly, Patrice L. Nelson, Tina W. Jackson, Sharon Y. Jones and Endrus S. Jones; a host of nephews, nieces cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Thursday, November 29, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
