Dominique Piere Bentley, Sr., 31, KCMO, passed away on October 26, 2016. He was born September 30, 1985 in Kansas City, Missouri to Chadwick 'Chips' A. Rideau and Veronica D. Bentley. He was preceded in death by his father, Chadwick; honorary mother, Jacintha Rideau; grandparents, Lester and Mary Rideau, and James Bentley. Known as 'Uncle Doctor Petey' in his early years and 'Petey Loc' as an adult, Dominique was baptized at St. Louis Catholic Church and later attended Guiding Star Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. David Lee. He was a graduate of Ruskin High School, class of 2003 and was employed in the Kansas City area. Decency, dignity, honor and respect were just a few qualities that Dominique held in high esteem. He was quiet, observant and serious when needed. Petey also had a sense of humor and loved to share in an opportunity to have a laugh with his loved ones and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory: his sons, Pierre, Dominique Jr., Martese and DeMonti; daughter, Pearie; mother, Veronica Welch; siblings, Frederick Bentley, Dewhane Bentley, Miea' Bentley, Gregory Welch, Courtney Rideau and Candace Rideau; a host of uncles aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 5, 11:00 a.m. at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church.
