Donna Sue Peters, 75, passed away on December 14, 2019 at Research Medical Center. She was born October 13, 944 in Dodge City, Kansas to Andrew Jennings and Clarissa Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as Patricia Johnson, Gary Jennings and James Jennings.

Donna was educated in the public schools of Kansas City, Missouri. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and served as a faithful choir member at local churches over the years. She worked as a seamstress, bus driver and care giver for numerous years.

Donna was united in marriage to James R. Peters on August 18, 1963. She loved her family and gave generously regardless of her own needs. She helped selflessly despite her own health. She loved endlessly with no expectations. As a pastime, Donna enjoyed taking precious care of her lawn.

She leaves to cherish her memory: three children, James Edward Peters, Ramona Lynn Murray both of Kansas City, MO and Desmond Peters (Debra) of Columbia, MO; two brothers, Raymond E. Jennings of Kansas City, MO and William H. Johnson of Wheat Ridge, CO; three grandchildren, Russell Elliot Murray, Jr., Kendall Avery Murray and Ka'Lynn Simone Murray; two step-grandchildren, Catlyn E. Finley and Cody R. Finley; four great grandchildren, Kha'ri J. Murray, Kayden A. Sutherlin, Casper O. Mennel and Eleanor F. Finley; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Saturday, December 21, 11:00 a.m. at Turning Point Church. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
