Ms. Doris Williams, 63, was born August 29, 1953 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Curtis Jones and Precious Farris. She professed a love for Christ at an early age. She worked hard to share the Lord's teachings through conversation, prayer and servitude towards others. Her acts of kindness touched widespread, from family to friends. She truly modeled what it meant to be a servant of the Lord. No matter when you called and you were in need; you were welcomed with open arms, whether it was to listen, pray or offer words of wisdom. Doris also volunteered her time to serve the elderly, as well as the sick and shut in. She worked in the area of customer service for most of her life. Doris graduated from Childress High School in Wynne Arkansas. She also attended the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff for post-secondary education. She departed this life September 16, 2016 at her residence. She leaves to cherish her sweet and kind memory: four children born to a past union of matrimony to Granville Williams, Jr.; Brandon D. Williams, Dr. Yolanda M. Cargile (Chauncey), Yarlisha D. Marqez (Cesar) and Jane'a L. Williams all of Kansas City, MO; five grandchildren, Jaylon Goode, Cesar Marqez, Jr., Nasia Marqez, Jasmine Cargile and Chauncey Cargile, Jr.; two sisters, Patricia Tillman of Marianna AR and Precious Stegall (Cecil) of Wynne, AR; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 24, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel.
