Dyamund Eugene Shields, 45, KCMO, passed away on April 13, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospice House. A born again Christian and tireless entrepreneur in entertainment, real estate, culinary, beverage and technology industries, was born April 6, 1972 to the union James A. Shields and Mary C. Shields. Dyamund attended Troost Elementary, C.A. Franklin Elementary, Bingham Junior High and Southwest High Schools, graduating in the spring of 1990. A natural leader, imaginative talent and hardworking servant of God, Dyamund was a risk taking yet gentle soul whose unshaken faith preserved his character throughout his most difficult days. He served as a reminder to those around him that the power of God and the power of love have no boundaries. The father of six children, founder of ten businesses, owner of more than thirty-three domain names and producer of numerous music and video projects, Dyamund was known, respected and loved by thousands of people for his genius passion and exceptionalism. The youngest of five children, Dyamund's passing was preceded by his father, James A. Shields and mother, Mary C. Malone. He leaves to cherish his memory and continue his legacy: his sons, Dyamund Shields, Jr., Damond Shields, Nicholas Shields, Dallas Shields, and Tevyn Woods; daughter, Brenda Lowery; siblings, Kimberly Newman, Wolfgang Shields, Rachelle Martin, and Sherrie Verner; stepmother, Earie Martin whose generosity was instrumental to Dyamund's peace and comfort during his illness. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 19, 12:00 p.m. at Memorial Church International. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-12:00 p.m. at the church.
