Earl 'Speedy' Ramsey, Jr., 60, was born June 11, 1955 in Steele, Missouri to the union of Earl and Corabell (Lucas) Ramsey. His father; grandparents; stepmother Lorretta; son E.J.; brother Cortez and sister Corrine all preceded him in death. Earl received his education in the Kansas City School District, attending Lincoln and Central High Schools. Earl was known as one of Kansas City's best mechanics and was also well known for his sense of humor. He was always smiling, and with his infectious laugh he was able to make anyone laugh with one of his outrageous jokes. He was known for saying, 'I can make anyone buy a dream, even if they're not in it'. Earl departed this life on April 11, 2016. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him, but we will each remember him with a smile on our faces and a laugh in our hearts. He leaves to cherish his memory: three loving children, Jameel Davis, Corey Ramsey and Mykaela Taylor; his mother, Corabell Logan (Charles); one brother, Loverl Ramsey (Yolanda); three sisters, Dorothy Sydnor (Wendell), Suedell Mitchell (Anthony) and Mary Gray (Paul); four grandchildren, Jailah, Chase, Trinity and Jaden; three aunts, Queen Bell, Gertrude Ramsey and Hazel Childress (Frank); five nieces, Dishiki, Melinda, Tamika, Myisha and Le'Quisha; five nephews, Edward, Adrian, Antonio, Robert and Keith; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 16, 12:00 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the church.
