Eddie L. Hardy, Sr., 66, Independence, Missouri, received his wings on February 1, 2017. He was born January 14, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri to David Eli Hardy, Sr. and Rosemary Eleanor (Hancock) Hardy. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Eli Hardy, Jr. Eddie attended Lincoln High School and then served in the United States Army as a wireman. After his military service, he attended Penn Valley Community College. He worked a multitude of jobs ranging from security officer to bartender at A&H, The Green Duck, and finally retiring from The 6902 Club. Eddie was married to Leah Denise Moore on July 19, 1973. He had five children, Sonja, Eddie Jr., Tammi, Andrew and Victoria. Before and after retiring he loved to spend time with friends and family. He leaves to celebrate his life: his beautiful wife, Leah Moore; children, Sonja Moore, Eddie L. Hardy, Jr. Tammi Hardy, Andrew Hardy, and Victoria Hardy; brothers, Javan W. Hardy, Francis 'Tut' Hardy (Barbara), Warren E. Hardy, Leonard A. Hardy (Laurice), Phillip L. Hardy, Clifford E. Hardy and Mark E. Hardy; sisters, Davetta M. Hardy, Brenda J. Smith-Baker, Rosina Y. Hardy, Marilyn E. Hardy, Rozemary E. Hardy, Cynthia A. Hardy, Jacqueline L. Soucie (Ronald), Sharon A. Hardy and Karen A. Groves (Reginald); fourteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 11, 11:00 a.m. at St. Monica Catholic Church. Private disposition. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E.
