Edward George Heath, 60, was born on June 16, 1955 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey to Lloyd and Grace Heath. He was preceded in death by his mother Grace and brother Evan. As a child, Edward enjoyed a good meal, animals and being with his family. Edward was educated at Hillside Grammar School in Montclair, NJ and attended college at the prestigious Morehouse University in Atlanta, GA and later pursued a MBA in Finance from Clark Atlanta University. Edward worked as a banker and managed a loan portfolio of $42 million during the peak of his career. He worked for AT&T, Bank of America, Independence Bank of Chicago, Broadway Bank & Trust and the Fulton County Schools. Edward enjoyed traveling and lived in Atlanta, Pasadena, Chicago, New York and Kansas City. He was a wonderful uncle and often spent holidays with his brother Laurel and spoiled his many nieces and nephews with gifts, including their first ping pong and air hockey table which was a big hit! Edward departed this life on Monday, March 21, 2016 peacefully at Saint Joseph Hospital in Kansas City. Edward leaves his father, Lloyd Heath; brother, Laurel Heath; two nieces, Aisha Heath (Steve Morrison) and Kionna Bussey; three nephews, Robert Heath, Laurel Heath (Ebonie Strickland) and Antwan Heath (Lisa Logan). Seven great nieces Shantaja Heath, Jadon Heath, Sharel Heath, Renai Heath, Jaelyn Heath, Gabby Logan and Isabella (Izzy) Heath; three great nephews, Laurel Heath III, Milon Heath and Laurence Heath. Memorial services will be Friday, March 25, 2016, 7:00 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on this website.
