Elder Clinton J. Youngman, Jr., 95, KCMO, passed away on January 27, 2017. He was born August 11, 1921 in Kansas City, Missouri to Olivia Jones and Clinton Youngman, Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents, Olivia Jones and Clinton Youngman; two sons, Butch Youngman and Eric Youngman; two sisters, Eddylene Morris and Ozellla Johnson. Clinton received his education at Sumner High, Kansas City, Kansas. Elder Youngman was saved at St. Stephen Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Dr. John W. Williams and was active in his church. He later united with Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. R. B. Cole. There he was called to the ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Elder Youngman attended Midwestern Baptist Seminary and St. Paul Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri. He was then later called to Pastor Freeman Avenue Church of God for many years. Because of the love he had for the Word of God, he was called to radio station KCCV to wake us early with the reading of the Word of God. They later called him 'The Reading Prophet'. Clinton met and married the love of his life Evelyn Youngman. They were married until the time of his home going. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Evelyn Youngman; three sons, Clinton Youngman (Shirley) of Alabama, Errol Youngman (LA,CA), and William Everett (Trish) Dallas, TX; three daughters, Ella McAfee of Ardmore, OK, Patricia Everett and Vanessa Everett both of Dallas, TX; Godchildren, Jerome and Anna Rose; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 4, 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
