Elece Mechelle Ward, 65 of Kansas City, Missouri, was called home on March 3, 2021 at the age of 65.

Elece was born in Kansas City, Missouri on April 4, 1955. She graduated from Paseo High School. Elece served in the United States Air Force and United States Army. She later continued her education to receive an Associates Degree in Accounting from DeVry University.

Elece married to Harold F. Ward Jr. on June 10, 1989 and the two were happily married spending 25 wonderful years together.

Elece is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws: Cortez and Adrienne Taylor, Harold "Frankie" and Nina Ward. Her grandchildren: Cordy, Imahni, Corey, Cobe and Akina. Great-grandchildren: Nyla, Mia and Legend. Her siblings: Deborah, David and Bruce; nephew, Jadeen; nieces: LaTanya, LaToi, Tinisha and Chance; great-niece, Khi; many cousins, extended family, and friends.

Elece is preceded in death by her parents Joe & Dorothy; husband Harold, son Curtis, grandson, Malik and brother, Joe Jr.

Elece will be greatly loved and missed!

Service will be Friday, March 12, 2021 at 1:00p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors Chapel. Officiant Pastor Eric D. Williams of Calvary Temple. Interment Brooking Cemetery.
