Ethel Pearl Harris, 75, was born December 20, 1942 in Alamo, Tennessee to Samuel and Cluster Harris. She was preceded in death by both parents; her daughter, Patricia Diane Harris and brothers, Theodore Harris, Sr., Motley Harris, Freddie Harris and William Harris, Sr.

Ethel spent her childhood in Alamo, Tennessee and attended Stigall High School until moving to Kansas City, Missouri in 1962. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Aaron E. Lavendar.

Ethel worked for many years and retired from AT&T in 1995. She loved teaching Sunday school and celebrating holidays, especially Thanksgiving where she was known for her famous pecan pie.

Ethel departed this earthly life on her birthday December 20, 2017. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, David J. Harris, Sr. (Della); grandson, David J. Harris, Jr.; sisters, Narvis Louise Penn and Doris Jean Linningham; special friend, Barbara Jones and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
