Eugene Benjamin Cargyle 71, was born August 28, 1949, to Benjamin Cargyle and Lorraine Cargyle.

Eugene accepted Christ in his life at an early age, he attended Westport High School. He worked at Gates BBQ at the age of 14, doing odd jobs, but later became a cook. He was known by friends and family for his good cooking. He was a proud and caring son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and cousin.

Eugene departed from this early life September 17, 2020, at Research Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine Cargyle, sisters Sallie Hill, Charlene Lewis, Carl Newell, Anna Reliford, and Carmelita Guess, a brother Edward Powell.

Eugene leaves to cherish his loving memories, his only daughter (Princess) Melinda Jackson (James), grandchildren, Johnathan Jackson, Jamelia Smith, two sisters, Racquel Lyons and Carolyn King. He also leaves his niece Stephanie Lewis and a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 26, at 4:30 P.M. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors Chapel. Private Disposition. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website. Due to Covid-19 face masks are required.
