Eugene Davis, Jr., 58, was born July 13, 1958 to the union of Eugene Davis, Sr. and Ernestine Davis-Ferguson in Kansas City, Missouri. Eugene departed this earthly life on July 13, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Brame and a very special friend, Zelma Oates. Eugene and Zelma were blessed with three wonderful children, Eugene Delvon III, Zekelia Marie and Robert Ramon. Eugene accepted Christ at an early age. As a lifelong area resident, he attended the Kansas City, Missouri School District. After graduating he worked at the Lake City Ammunition Plant for many years. Eugene was a loving father and a friendly person. He had many friends with whom he shared a positive influence, especially in the lives of his nephews and sons. He was a jokester who loved watching movies and playing card games. He leaves to cherish his memory: three children: Eugene D. Davis III, Zekelia M. Oates and Robert R. Oates; two brothers, Dale Fowler (Evette) and Randall Davis both of KCMO; three sisters, Bessie Rice of Little Rock, AR, Carolyn Davis-McConnell of Northridge, CA and Pamela Davis of KCMO; one uncle, John Davis; step-mother, Mertha Davis; seven grandchildren, Ellese Davis, Bobby Veal, Za'Mya Veal, Raheem Veal, Eugene Davis IV, Isaiah Mathews and Emalee Davis; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other family and friends Funeral services will be Friday, July 22, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment Brooking Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors.
