Obituary

Born August 26, 1939 in Blytheville, AR to parents Equilla Hall and Earl Davis, the life of Drue Diamond was a huge one that spanned across multiple cities in comparison to the tiny 4 foot 11 inch frame that carried it out. Married to Charlie O. Diamond, II on November 22, 1956, she earnestly gave her life to Christ in 1972, and instilled His saving grace into all of her children, grandchildren, and anyone else who came across her path. Whatever she did, she left a mark that let you and everyone else know that she had been there. She began ministering in any capacity the Lord allowed in 1979 while attending Faith Mission COGIC in Kansas City, MO under the tutelage of the late Superintendent Hubert Lambert, Sr. Here she was an active Missionary and traveling Evangelist, vigorously and faithfully running revivals and bringing souls to Christ all along the southern parts of the United States with her newly saved adjutant Viola Sanders, one of the many saved under her working for the Lord. Soon after the transition to glory of Superintendent Lambert, Evangelist Diamond continued her work specifically under the unction of the Holy Ghost to go and do whatever the Lord said, wherever the Lord said. From here, her travels were many, far and wide and her impact immensely felt. She served as Deacon under Dr. Diane Banks at Spirit Life Prayer Center in Kansas City, MO, served as a charter member of New Beginnings Church in Flint, MI before continuing her service in Christ at Faith Temple COGIC under the leadership of Bishop Fred Lewis, Sr. where she was a Bible Band Teacher and Assistant Choir Director. After being directed back to Kansas City, she served at Citadel of Prayer Ministries before moving on to Pentecostal COGIC under the leadership of Bishop Daniel M. Jordan, where she served through her final days; one of her many highlights being the studio recording and release of her CD 'End Time Harvest Ministries Presents Drue S. Diamond, Live!' which included her infamous single, 'I'm a Millionaire'. Matriarch of the prestigious and very well known Diamond Family, her house served as headquarters for many family gatherings on holidays, birthdays and just because. She was known for her strong love of God and family and worked to serve both as if tired was not a state of being she could feel. July 4, 2016, Evangelist Diamond stole the show and gained an independence she will never lose by answering her final call from the Lord that evening at Research Hospital in Kansas City, MO.Her husband, Charlie O. Diamond II, parents Equilla Hall and Earl Davis, sister, Thelma Davis, and brother, James Johnson, along with five children preceded her death. Her beautiful life is left to be cherished and bloom its own blossoms by her brothers, Frank E. Cummings of Kansas City, MO and Clark Davis of Detroit, MI; children, Rosetta Holt of Kansas City, MO, Charlie O. Diamond III (Linda) of Kansas City, MO, Wayne Diamond, Sr. of Flint, MI, Terry L. Diamond, Sr. of Kansas City, MO, Earl Diamond of Flint, MI, LeRon Diamond, Sr. (Linda) of Adrian, MO and honorary son-in-love and first of her twenty grandchildren, Trevon Diamond of Gladstone, MO; Left to honor and cherish her memories are twenty grandchildren, Trevon Diamond, De'Erika Parker, Angela Holt, Leonard Diamond, Krystle Holt, Antwon Hill, Terry Diamond Jr., Brittany Diamond, Tiffani Holt, Charla Holt, Tierra Hill, Jazmin Hill, Terrell Diamond, Deshonia Diamond, Kadeeja Hill, LeRon Diamond, Jr. (Roji), Valencia Diamond, Alexis Diamond, Wayne Diamond, Jr., and, Olivia Diamond; six great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.
