Fannie Lee Pickens McManus also known as Teenie was born September 9, 1935, in Tupelo, Mississippi to the late Amos Pickens and Mary McCambry Perry. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at White Hill Baptist Church in Tupelo, Mississippi. She moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1964, worked and retired from St. Luke's Hospital after 35 years. Her favorite things to do were gardening, fishing, watching Young and Restless, enjoying card games with her family and friends, dancing to her favorite song "I'll Play the Blues for You" by Albert King. Fannie was preceded in death by her parents: Amos Pickens, Mary Perry, Daughter: Shirley Ann Bluitt, four sisters: Shirley Perry, Linda Perry, Louise Perry, Lois Perry Beane, eight brokers: Jake Perry Jr., James Perry, Thomas Perry, George Perry, Luscius Perry, Bobby Pickens, Coy Pickens, Selena Pickens. She leaves to cherish her memory three children: Isaac Bluitt of Kansas City, Missouri. Jessie Pickens of Kansas City, Missouri, and Paulette Green of Ontario, California. Five siblings: Edna Pickens (Dallas, TX), Judy Depriest (Kansas City, KS), Amos Pickens Jr., (Kansas City, Ks), and Ruthie Pickens (Gladstone, MO). Seven grandchildren Torrie Bluitt, Quazell Pickens, Denzell Pickens, Veronica Bruce, Kashaunda Baker, Simone Green, Perry Green Jr. Seven great grandchildren: Quanique Pickens, Quazell Pickens, Jaquan Pickens, Jessiah Pickens, Mitchel Tinsley, Malik Tinsley, Maya Tinsley and a host of nieces, nephews, numerous family members and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Visitation 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors Chapel. Pastor Desmond C. Lamb Officianting. Disposition Private.
