On June 17, 2018, God called into his kingdom our loving wife, mother and grandmother, Faye Carol Johnson, 78. She was born in Jackson, Mississippi on March 29, 1940 to the late Leatha Blakely and Howard Blakely, Sr. Faye retired from Marshall's where she spent many years as a customer service manager. She had several regular customers who would go into the store just to visit with her. Faye was a proud grandmother who enjoyed being very involved in all aspects of her grandchildren's lives. She was affectionately known as "Grandma F". Faye kept her grandchildren actively involved in the community and instilled in them her strong faith in God. Faye was a member of the Potter's House Church in Palmdale, California and Bara Church in Trophy Club, Texas. In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her loving husband of forty-nine years, Lawrence Johnson, Jr. She is loved and will be eternally missed by her sons, Kevin Blakely (Jeanette) of Jackson, MS, Lawrence Johnson II (Tami) of Ft. Worth, TX, and Brian Johnson (Barbara) of Lancaster, CA; grandchildren, Millicent Woodruff of Winston-Salem, NC, Kwame Asbill, La'Nyce Johnson, Makaila Johnson all of Ft. Worth, TX, Bailey Johnson, Riley Johnson both of Lancaster, CA, Kevin Jefferson (Roche), Marcus Moore both of Jackson, MS, Jeremy Welch and Jerome Welch of Atlanta, GA; four great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services Monday, June 25, 11:00 a.m. at Swope Parkway Church of Christ. Interment Leavenworth National Cemetery. Visitation 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E.
