Obituary

Floyd Everrette Sims, 52, KCMO, passed away on March 20, 2016. He was born July 30, 1963 to Luther B. Sims. His mother and grandparents preceded him in death. Floyd was educated in the Kansas City School District, where he attended Central High School graduating with the Class of 1981. Floyd, while at Central, was on the track team. Floyd was self-employed Master Carpenter. Other workers would say with Floyd you measure once cut once. There was no one like him when it came to carpentry. Floyd was caring and giving to everyone he would meet. He had a big heart and would help anyone. His heart was always open to help. He loved to dance and just have fun. You could always find him somewhere laughing at something. Floyd leaves to cherish his memory: his brothers: Kenneth R. Sims, Elvester B. Sims (Monica), and Ian J. Knox; sisters: Deborah D. Grigsby, Myra L. Williams, Lisa V. Ferrell, Adrean D. Johnson, Elwend Sims, and Connie Sims; and Host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Memorial services will be Saturday, April 2, 2016, 2:00 p.m.at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors, Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on this website.
