Obituary

Floyd Anthony Walker, 56, KCMO, passed away August 7, 2017 at Research Medical Center. He was born April 4, 1961 in Kansas City, Missouri to Elwood D. Walker and Bernice Suber. As a lifelong area resident, Floyd was educated in the public schools of Kansas City, Missouri. He accepted Christ and attended Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church of Jesus Christ, where he loved to sing. Floyd was a lover of all sports, especially basketball. He was an avid Kansas City Chief's fan and enjoyed lifting weights and doing push-ups. He is survived by seven children, Brandon M. Thomas (Keirra), Marcus Walker, Christopher E. Strong, Trevor D. Strong, Anthony Hill, Ryan Waler and Tiffany D. Jones-Fitchett (David); his mother, Bernice Gay of Las Vegas, NV; two brothers, Hurbert E. Whitney and Hal A.W. Taylor; four sisters, Jacqueline Williams (Leray), Clozie Walker, Willa Walker and Cynthia Wells (John); seventeen grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Private disposition. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
