Obituary

Floyd Watson, Jr., 70, was born on October 1, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan to the union of Floyd, Sr. and Emma (Hawkins) Watson. He was preceded in death by both parents, and his sister, Margie Howard.

Floyd was educated in the Detroit, Michigan public schools system. After graduating he listed in the United States Army and received his Bachelor's degree in Business.

Floyd married Virginia Watson in 1982, to this union they raised four children. Floyd cherished his family and loved his grandchildren dearly.

Floyd passed away on September 22, 2018 surrounded by his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife of thirty-six years, Virginia Watson; two sons, Floyd Watson III and Jimmy Nichols; two daughters, De'Anna Jones and Catina Graham; two brothers, Curtis and Eugene Watson; eight grandchildren, DaQari, Da'Kayla, Savannah, Jay, Devoy, Jasma, Cooper, Christian; two sons-in-law, Quincy Jones and Michael Graham; two brothers-in-law, Lawrence Cooper and Earl Cooper; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Friday, September 28, 11:00 a.m. at Swope Parkway Church of Christ. Interment Leavenworth National Cemetery. Visitation 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
