Berry
Jan 27, 1953 — Feb 25, 2017
Frank Harold Berry, 64, was born January 27, 1953 to Lee Hannah Graham. He was adopted and raised by Cleophus Harold and Helen L. Johnson Berry. He was preceded in death by his biological mother and adoptive parents; paternal grandparents, Robert and Carrie Johnson, and U.S. and Irene Berry; maternal grandparents, George and Lou Bertha Clinch; and his brother, Bruce E. Graham. Frank Harold attended schools in the Kansas City, Kansas School District 500 including Dunbar South, Northeast Junior High School, and Sumner High School. He graduated from Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles, California. During high school he lettered in track and was a stellar athlete. He furthered his education at Texas Southern College on an athletic scholarship. Frank Harold confessed a hope and belief in the Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized by the late Reverend Dr. O.A. Crenshaw at an early age at the Olivet Institutional Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas. Frank loved life. He worked as a telemarketer and also as a chef at The Golden Ox Restaurant for several years. In addition, Frank worked at General Motors. He loved to play Chess and Dominoes, Bid Whist, and talk smack. He had a gift of gab! Frank loved to dress from head to toe and believed that as well as lived, you weren't dressed properly unless your outfit included a hat and matching shoes. Frank Harold Berry met the Lord on Saturday, February 25, 2017 with his fiancé, Dorothy Lee at his side. He will be missed by many, but especially by his beloved pet, Buddy. He leaves to cherish his memory: his fiancé, Dorothy Lee - her children, Dorothea L. Cain and Salim J. Robinson and her grandchildren and great grandchildren; his siblings, Cynthia D. Broils, Paul B. Graham (Vanessa), Cheryl A. Graham-Goode and Dr. Carol L. Pitchlyn (Vernon); devoted cousins, Craig A. Johnson and David Berry (Patricia); step-brother, Brian Walls; step-sisters, Karen Walls and Linda Walls; and a host of other relatives and friends.
