Obituary

Local Artist 'Frankie BTW' born Frank Elliot Raney Jr. to Frank Raney, Sr. and LaNita Raney on April 19th 1993 passed away early, Saturday morning July 8th 2017. He was the eldest of two siblings (Malcolm & Faryn Raney). Frankie B developed lifelong friendships over the years that will be truly cherished, such as BTW (Brothers Through Whatever). He attended Center High School, where he graduated and shortly after attended MCC briefly, withdrawing after only a semester. Frankie B truly touched thousands of people with his laid back demeanor, corny laugh, and dope rhymes. Passionate and driven, he pushed the bar with two mix tapes, one album and performed alongside best friend/fellow artist Mykell Vaughn in 2014 at the 'I am T-Pain' Tour; all within just a short three years. Frankie B's passion for entrepreneurship and success began early in 2017 with piloting his apparel brand 'Papi Chulo', known for saying .'Grindin til we touch a Trilli, baby!' Frankie B gone, but never forgotten, leaves on this earth to cherish his memory his mother Lanita Raney (Thompson); father Frank Raney, Sr. (Anjelia); brother Malcolm Raney and sister Faryn Raney; maternal grandparents Threquinta Parker and Lloyd Thompson (Marilyn); paternal grandmother Beverly Raney-Brown (William); maternal great grandmother Mable Thompson and paternal great grandmother Zella Osler (Columbus); uncles DeMarcus Raney (Regina) and David Parker; aunts Laura Thompson and Kim Thornton; and a host of great uncles, great aunts, cousins and friends. Memorial services will be Saturday, July 15, 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Church International. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
