Fred Allen Squalls, 53, KCMO, passed away on January 27, 2017. He was born February 4, 1963 to the union of the late James Simon and Roberta Elmore in Marks, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Elmore and two sisters, Mary Ball and Bertha Hall. Fred received his education at Quitman County High School in Marks, Mississippi. Upon completing his education he moved to Kansas City, Missouri where he worked for the Kansas City Zoo until he took ill in 2015. Fred resided at Riverside Nursing Home until his passing. He leaves to cherish his memory: his son, Jermaile Hill; siblings, Birdie Lee Elmore of Chicago, IL, L.C. Elmore (Pat) of Crystal, MN, Lucille Ball, Clifton K. Elmore (Melanie) both of Kansas City, MO, Jessie Elmore (Lula) of Clarksdale, MS; Jeffrey Elmore (Celeste) of San Diego, CA, Jerry Elmore, Christine Elmore of Culvert City, CA, James Simmons (Rachel) and Lee Simmons (Julie); granddaughter, Ferrari Hill; life partner, Marty Arvizu; best friend, Robert Lowery; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 11, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel.
