Fred Armer Smith VI, 52, was born December 29, 1963 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the second child born to the union of Fred Armer Smith V and Alice Faye Bedford-Smith. His father preceded him in death. Fred attended Graceland Elementary School and graduated from Park Hill North High School in 1982. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and was baptized by the late Rev. R.B. Poe, pastor of Canaan Missionary Baptist Church. Fred married Pamela Smith on July 31, 1984 and to their union one son, Fred Armer Smith VII, was born. Fred worked as a chef at IHOP for many years and was also employed in the maintenance department of Georgia Ann Courts. He was an auto mechanic by trade and enjoyed working on cars, which he continued to do until 2008 when he became disabled. Most of his friends and family affectionately called him 'Freddie'. Bedford; brothers, Tyrone Smith (Tammie) and Derek Bedford; sister, LaFrances McDaniel; grandchildren, Koreyian Smith, Tristian K. Smith and Faith M.
