Obituary

Gemesha Ann Thomas, 17, of Lee's Summit, Missouri, passed away on September 29, 2017. She was born into this world on July 25, 2000 to proud parents, LaToya Marks Thomas and Jimmie E. Thomas. Gemesha began her education in the Wichita USD 259 School District until her mother relocated to Raytown, Missouri, where she attended both Little Blue Elementary and Raytown Middle School. She completed her middle school education Campbell Middle School in Lee's Summit, Missouri and was in her senior year at Lee's Summit North High School. Gemesha was gainfully employed at Sonic's Drive In where she was loved and respected dearly. Her personality was infectious. Everywhere she went she left her "fangrance". She was strong-willed yet gentle and loving. She was the epitome of beauty, the kind that is soul deep! Gemesha leaves to celebrate her memories: her mother, LaToya Marks of Lee's Summit, MO; father, Jimmie E. Thomas of Clovis, NM; grandparents, Ernest Marks, Sr. (Brenda) of Wichita, KS and Glenda K. Adams of Killeen, TX; two brothers, Sequenté Marks of San Antonio, TX and Adam Thomas of Spokane, WA; three sisters, Lynnesha Thomas, JeToya Thomas both of Lee's Summit, MO and Cheyannia Thomas of Clovis, NM; three uncles, Ernest Marks, Jr. (Jacqueline), Travis Jackson and Steffon Marks (Molly); six aunts, Tina Turner, Venus McDaniel, Roz Edwards Maxwell, Lisa Bevins, Nesha Collins and Janelle Jackson; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services Saturday, October 7, 3:30 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Private disposition. Visitation 2:00-3:30 p.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E.
