Obituary

George W. Rackley, 65 of Grandview, MO passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021. George W. Rackley was born November 12, 1956, in St. Louis, MO to George "Daddy George" and Arsenia" Biggie" Rackley. He was the eighth of twelve children. He was preceded in death by his parents, George "Daddy George" and Arsenia "Biggie" Rackley, his sisters Lucy, Pearlie, and Barbara. George accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mount Olive Baptist Church in St. Louis, MO. After graduating from Vashon High School in 1976, George immediately joined the United States Military. Following his time in the military George met his lifetime partner and friend, Cynthia Cannon. George and Cynthia confessed their love before Christ in 1996. From this beautiful union George and Cynthia brought Cardin, Jazmin and Orrianna into the world. George always had a passion for cars and pursued this passion by starting his career at E-Z Auto Sales in St. Louis, MO. After building his sales skillset in St. Louis, MO, he took his family and talents to Kansas City, MO. He passionately worked for Ford Dealerships throughout the Kansas City Metropolitan Area, fulfilling his lifelong commitment to his clients for over 30 years. Outside of maintaining a successful sales career, George enjoyed spending time with his family from casual dinners to big holiday celebrations, his door was always open. George was what you would call a "work-a-holic", if he wasn't working at Metro Ford, he was working on a home project. George was a man's man and loved to keep his hands busy. He took pride in his work and did it with love and compassion. George also took interest in all activities his children and grandchildren were involved in. He always ensured they knew "Daddy/Papa" was there no matter what! George leaves to cherish his memories his wife: Cynthia Rackley, children: Cardin Rackley, Jazmin Rackley and Orrianna (Dwight) Griffin.
