George Elmer Archie Robinson, 86, was born December 29, 1933 to Elmer and Elizabeth Robinson in Dover, Oklahoma. He was the fourth child of seven born to that union of four boys and three girls. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Leo Robinson, Fern Robinson and Edgar Robinson; two sisters, Maxine Robinson and Theora Brown; daughter, Laura Ann Allen; daughter in love, Vicky Robinson and special friend, Georgia Ann Jackson.
George was educated in the Kansas City Missouri Public Schools and graduated from R.T. Coles High School and served in the US. Army.
George retired from the Kansas City Missouri School District in 1995 after 33 years of service, as a maintenance Supervisor and Baker. After he retired, he worked several years for the Kansas City Call Newspaper.
NewsGeorge loved watching sports on TV, playing dominos and spending time with family and friends at the beach. He had a great sense of humor and a beautiful singing voice, that very few knew. He loved cooking for the family.
He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior on October 25, 2019 and was called home to glory on May 11, 2020.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his sister Mary E. Robinson of Colorado Springs, Co., his sons George A Robinson (Joyce) of Kansas City, Mo., Bobby J Robinson of Evansville In., James and Mitchell Robinson of Kansas City, Mo., Elmer Robinson (Joyce) of Elizabethtown, Ky., his daughters; Belinda L Hughes (Mark) of Deepwater Mo., Brenda J Byers (Frank), Carmen Y Robinson and Shevahn L Wright of Kansas City, Mo. He had a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends
Funeral services Saturday, May 23, at 2:30pm Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors Chapel. Private disposition. Visitation 1:00pm-2:15pm at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
