Gladys Evyonne Conway, 65, KCMO, passed away on May 15, 2016. She was born December 27, 1950 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Julius Borders and Ann Geneva Phelps. Gladys was educated in the public schools of Kansas City and attended Central High School. She worked as a heavy equipment operator in the construction field and was a member of the Construction Union #101. She enjoyed playing the drums and saxophone. Her bright, vibrant spirit will be missed. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Borders (Kenyota) and Clarence Borders (Shari); siblings, Dwight Mickens, Vincent Mickens (Scharelle), Lamar Mickens (Cynthia), Phyllis Miller (Darrell), Paula White and Hernetta Johnson; two grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be Thursday, May 19, 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Liberty. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
