Glenda Elise Garrett-Daniels, 61, passed away on April 10, 2018. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on December 17, 1956 to proud parents Garnett and Danella Garrett, who preceded her in death. She married the love of her life, Allen Christian who also preceded her in death. Later, she was united in marriage to Ralph Daniels.

Glenda accepted Christ at an early age at Skylight Missionary Baptist Church and has remained a lifetime member. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1975. and furthered her education at Penn Valley Community College. Following college she was employed by Internal Revenue in 1978, from which she retired after serving thirty-seven years. Glenda was an INCREDIBLE cook for the family dinners. Her specialties were homemade dinner rolls and rum cake with extra rum. Due to her parents being the owners of Garrett's Records Shop, she became a devout music lover. She was naturally attracted to any song that had a lot of bass and a good bass line.

She leaves behind the loves of her life: two sons, Ryan Christian and Andre Christian of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Ryanna Christian and Ranvan Christian of Kansas City, MO; her baby sister, Pamela Mayfield of Las Vegas, NV; two talented nephews, Aaron Mayfield and Joshua Mayfield of Overland Park, KS; her favorite aunt, Hannah Gardner of Kansas City, MO; first cousins, Ocilia "Danelle" Scott of Kansas City, MO and Michelle Holland of Sarasota, FL; special friend, Jesse Gentry of Kansas City, MO; a host of other family members and beloved family friends.

Memorial services Saturday, April 14, 11:00 a.m. at Skylight Missionary Baptist Church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
