Obituary

Glenn Forbush, 56, was born on January 10, 1962 to the union of the late John Forbush, Sr. and Willie Mae Powell in Kansas City, Kansas. He was the youngest of five children. Glenn was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Nailah M. Oliver; brothers, John Forbush, Jr., Gregory Lee Forbush and Herbert Forbush; and a nephew, Anthony "Duke" Forbush.

Glenn became a Christian at an early age where he attended and served on the junior usher board at Friendship Baptist Church under Pastor I.H. Henderson.

Glenn attended Kansas City public schools receiving his education from Central High School.

Glenn's family will remember him by his hard work and being a man of many hats. He would paint, fix, or rig anything to make it work. He held multiple jobs to provide for his family cooking, cleaning and retiring from security after more than 10 years. He had a passion for fishing and being around friends and family. Glenn was always the life of any party and had a smile that would light up a room.

Glenn was called to Christ on December 22, 2018. He left his two daughters, Kiana L. Forbush, Kristen N.D. Forbush and step-daughter, Glenisha L. Barnett; his mother Willie Mae Powell; sister, Marva Louise Wilson; grandchildren, Destane Jackson, T'Andre Forbush, Donavin Oliver,

Cayton Forbush, Hea'vyn Ewing, and Zoey Forbush; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends to keep his memories alive.

Funeral services Friday, January 4, at 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
