Gloria Jean Womack, 77, passed away on June 4, 2017 at the Kansas City Hospice House. She was born June 5, 1939 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Willie and Dollie Player. Both parents preceded her in death. Gloria was raised in Belcher, Louisiana where she received her formal education. She later moved to the Kansas City area and made her home here over fifty years. She was united in marriage to Fred Womack who also preceded her in death. Gloria was employed with the Internal Revenue Service until she retired. She was a member of the Trinity Temple Church of God In Christ. She leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Fred Womack (Lisa) of Grandview, MO; one daughter, Sharon Womack of Kansas City, MO; two sisters, Berta M. Player of Compton, CA and Mary Owens of Kansas City, MO; three grandsons, Miles Womack, Jaylon Womack, and Isaiah Womack; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Monday, June 12, 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Temple Church of God in Christ. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m-11:00 a.m. at the church.
