Obituary

Gwendolyn Anita Frost was born on April 22, 1946, in Saint Louis, Missouri, to the union of Robert Jack Brown and Arneida Chatman Brown. From the very beginning, Gwen—as she was affectionately known—was a light in the lives of all who knew her.

At an early age, Gwen accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at Mount Airy Missionary Baptist Church, where she began her lifelong journey of faith. She was educated in the Saint Louis Public Schools System and graduated from Soldan High School. With ambitions to further her education, she enrolled at Southern Illinois University, charting a course for a future filled with purpose.

It was during this chapter of her life that she met the love of her life, Mr. Clark Frost, Jr. On August 12, 1968, they united in marriage, and to this blessed union, two sons were born: Clark Frost III and Damon Frost, her "superstars."

As life's journey continued, Gwen's professional path led her to Jefferson City, Missouri, where she became a dedicated Customer Service Representative for Union Electric. In Jefferson City, she also joined Second Missionary Baptist Church, where she was an active member of the Choir and Women's Missionary Union. Even after relocating to Grain Valley, Gwen remained connected to her church family and her Jefferson City roots.

Gwendolyn's spirit was one of unwavering faith, boundless love, and an enduring commitment to family. She loved deeply and gave generously. She carried herself with grace, wisdom, and kindness that left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Arneida Brown, her brother James Brown, and her beloved son Damon Frost. She leaves to cherish her memory: her devoted husband of 56 years, Clark Frost, Jr.; her loving son, Clark Frost III (Tina); five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Gwendolyn's legacy is one of resilience, love, and faith. We rejoice in the assurance that she now rests in the arms of her Savior, awaiting the day when we will meet again.
