Harold E. Lucas Sr.,72, was born on February 3, 1946 in Kansas City MO. to the late Mr. George E. Lucas and the late Mrs. Geneva E. Green.

Harold was raised in a home full of love and was a loving, playful child who grew up to be a kind, thoughtful and considerate young man. His love for his family and friends was strong and abiding.

After graduating from Central High School, looking for better opportunities he joined the Navy. During his tour in the Navy, Harold was stationed Yokosuka Japan and reached the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class.

Harold was a skilled percussionist and had a passion for music, playing the drums for his church. His additional hobbies included drawing, carpentry and spending time with his grandchildren.

Harold is survived by his children, Lanessa Lucas, Marion Minnis, Tonya Gardner and Harold Lucas, Jr.; brother, Percy Davis; sisters, Claudine Lucas, Georgeann Farley, Marion Gant and Christine Davis; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces all of whom will miss him deeply.
