Hattie Green was born March 10, 1950, in Shreveport LA to Willie Green Ollie P. Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Roy Wilson. And also preceding her in death are Ernest Hardaway and James P. Green.

Hattie was educated in the public school system in Shreveport LA, attending Booker T. Washington High School. She became affiliated with Galilee Baptist Church at a very young age.

Later in life Hattie moved to Kansas City MO. In May of 1975 she married James P. Green. Her employment history included Sears Catalog Warehouse. Essence Manuel, Ebony May, and Jonathan Green, Jr. She retired from there in 2005.

Hattie loved cooking, cleaning, listening to Blues music and traveling. She also loved animals, (especially cats and dogs), and just helping people. She had a very big heart.

Hattie departed this life November 14, 2023, at the Excel Nursing Home. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her,

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons: Saul Williams, III, of Shreveport LA and Jonathan Green of Kansas City MO, two daughters: Tiffany Manuel of Kansas City MO and Jacqueline Manuel of Shreveport LA, four brothers: Larry Jackson, Randy Green, Jerry Green, and Javis Green, one sister: Mattie Manuel, all of Shreveport LA, three grandchildren: Essence Manuel, Ebony May, and Jonathan Green, Jr, and a host of other relatives and friends.
