Helen Spencer, 69 passed away on May 07,2024 in Kansas City, Mo. She was born on December 06,1954, in Steele, Mo. Helen was a beloved sister, mother, and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Helen attended the Kansas City, Mo Public School District and received her GED from Pioneer College.

She had a diverse career working at Truman Medical Center, several nursing homes and other positions including a position at Wonder Bread, Po Folks as a waitress, Ventures as a baker and serving as a unit secretary, medical records attendant, CNA, CMT and home health operator at various medical facilities.

Helen was a woman of many talents and hobbies. She has a passion for cooking, especially during the holidays.  She is survived by her sons Leslie Spencer and Vernon Spencer both of Kansas City, Mo. Her sisters Doris Bell and Sarah Bell, both of KCMO, her brother Tessy Bell (LaTanya) KCMO, Aunt Gertrude Williams, Uncle Franklin Childress, Brother in Law Andrew Black, Granddaughters Keair Black, Destinee Spencer, and Deja Spencer, Grandsons Darius Spencer, Leslie Spencer IV, and Sireal Spencer, Great Grandsons and Great Granddaughters, Best Friend Piccola Williams, Nephews Terrence, Terrell, D' Averell ,D'Andre, James, D'Anthony, and D'Ante (DADDY), as well as several great nieces and nephews.

Helen's memory will live on in the hearts of all of her loved ones and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness and love for her family. May she rest in peace.
