Henry Karl "Hank" Hasley, 74, was on born May 8, 1946, in Kansas City, Kansas to the late Robert Hasley and Mary Bright Hasley. He was the third of six children. One brother, Tommy L. Hasley, one sister, Lenora Hasley Martin and two adoptive siblings, Richard C. Ross and Glen Woods preceded him in their journey home.
Hank received his formal education in the Kansas City public schools graduating from Central High School in the class of 1964, after high school he spent several years in college at UMKC and Penn Valley Community College before he was drafted into the U.S. Marine Corps in 1966. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign, Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Mast and the Expert Rifle Badge. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Friendship Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. I. H. Henderson, Jr., he later united with the Palestine Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Earl Abel. He married Beverly R. Hasley on May 29, 1981.
Hank worked at A & P Grocers in Kansas City, Kansas as a Manager and later worked at City Hall in the Revenue Department for approximately 10 years, which intrigued him to later become an entrepreneur himself. He started his own business, B & H Services from the living room table of his own home. After which he grew the business into several locations ,with his last location at 9333 Blue Ridge Boulevard, for over 40 years. B & H Services has been the longest black owned accounting and tax service in the Kansas City Area, servicing more than 3000 clients annually. He also owned B & H Mortgage Company, B & H Insurance Company, B & H Courier Service, Just Like Grandma's Childcare Center and several other companies. He received numerous awards and recognitions, from the National Association of Tax Professionals, Kansas Business Journal and Securities Investor Protection Corporation.
Henry " Hank" was loved by so many people. He never met a stranger and there was nothing he wouldn't do for anyone. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He departed this life on Monday, September 28, 2020 at the Research Medical Center.
He leaves to mourn his passing and to forever cherish his memory,his wife, Beverly R. Hasley of the home, daughter, Keisha McKenzie of Los Angeles CA; son Glen E. Davis of Kansas City, KS; brother, Samuel Hasley of Independence, MO; two sisters, Bobbie Johnson and Bryndal "Faye" Hasley both of Kansas City,MO; adoptive brother, Garland Hill and adoptive sister Mattie J. Eley both of Kansas City, MO.; a of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins other relatives, B & H Tax staff and friends.
Funeral services Tuesday, October 13, at 11:00am at the Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors Chapel. Interment Leavenworth National Cemetery. Visitation 9:00am-11:00am at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website. Services will be livestreamed: MSTCSUNSET.com. Due to COVID-19 Pandemic face masks are required.
