Herbert Lewis, Jr., 74, KCMO, Saturday, August 19, 2017, at the Carmel Hills Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. He was born August 24, 1942 to the union of Herbert and Minerva Lewis. He was preceded in death by both parents; his first wife, Pauline Hamon Lewis; three sisters: twins, Hilda and Hulda, and Ruby Eskridge Bruce; nephews, Calvert Leon Antwine, II and Carlton Lee Lewis; nieces, Mona Lisa Bruce, Crystal Shenise Lewis, and Precious Monique Riddle. Herbert was a life-long resident of Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1961. He was employed by General Motors and R. L. Jones and Sons. He retired from Popeye's Chicken, but returned to work there until his health began to fail. Herbert was united in marriage to Pauline Hamon. To that union, a son, Darin, and a daughter, Tami, were born. The marriage was later dissolved. Herbert later married Sharon Norton. To that union, a child, Aireaol, was born. Herbert was very outspoken and fun to be around. He loved being around his family and friends. He also loved sports and playing dominos and cards. He leaves to cherish his memory: his son, Darin Lewis of Kansas City, MO; daughters, Tami Lewis, Aireaol Lewis, and Briauna Brock all of Kansas City, MO, and Kimberly Williams of Dallas, TX; one sister, Anna Lewis Reid of Lexington, MO; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
