Herman Leonard Wyatt, 69, passed away on February 17, 2018 at the John Dingle V.A. Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He was born to Walter Sr. and Ella Wilson on April 5, 1948. He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings, Elizabeth, John, Walter Jr., Lassie, Mary and Evelyn. Herman confessed Christ at an early age in Prattville, Alabama. As he advanced to school age, the family left Prattville and moved to Birmingham, Alabama where he attended the Birmingham public school system and graduated from George Washington Carver High School. After graduation, Herman enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. He worked for Proctor & Gamble, and Guyer Fence for a number of years. He leaves to cherish his memory: two daughters, Shawanda Singleton (Charles) of Detroit, MI and Lorraine Dunn (Charles) of KCMO; one sister, Linda Jones of KCMO; five grandchildren, Rufus, Mickey, Michigan, Shantelle, Lorenzo and Me'Yah; seventeen great grandchildren; special friend, Sota Waller; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral services Friday, March 2, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment Leavenworth National Cemetery.
