Howard Earl
Trotter
Apr 9, 1937 — Dec 2, 2024
Howard Earl Trotter was born April 9, 1937 in Washington, Arkansas to the union of William Ed and Vaseline Trotter. He was preceded in death by his Father, Mother, and his 6 siblings; Tillman Trotter, Helen Trotter, Young (William), Edna Mae Trotter, Young (James), Retea Mae Trotter, Wilson (Isaiah), Merline Trotter (who died at a very early age), and Modisteen Trotter, Bell (Thomas).
Howard graduated from Washing School in his home town; and accepted Christ as his Savior, and joined church in his hometown as well. He later moved to Kansas City, KS with his sister, Edna. In 1959 he moved to Kansas City, MO. He married Altha (Lee) Trotter. They joined several churches before joining Friendship Baptist Church.
Some of the things he loved doing in his lifetime were: he owned a Trucking Business, worked at Wonder Bread Bakery (where he retired in 2001); he also worked at Foremost Ice Cream Company.
For activities and other things he did were: playing ball, going to the movies, traveling, took classes in learning to play the organ, took computer classes, sewing, welding, and even cooking sometimes.
He was active at Friendship Baptist Church. He was in the Sheepfold Deacon Ministry, sang in the Male Chorus, attended Sunday School, and just did whatever he was asked to do.
A big thank you goes out to family members, church members, and friends for their support and love during Howard's illness.
He leaves to treasure his memories; his wife, Altha of 65 years of marriage; four brothers-in-law, Ervin Bell, Eddie Hudson (Shirley), Jordan Lee (Margaret), and Jerry Lee (Nona); 3 sisters-in-law, Gertrude (Lee) Williams, Shirley (Lee) Hudson (Eddie), and Ruthie (Lee) Thomas; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He will greatly be missed. Although we loved him, God loved him best.
