Sha'Quille Amya Kornegay, 2, was born August 12, 2013 to Courtenay Shaquille Block and Montorre LaShay Kornegay. 'Shai-Shai', as she was affectionately known, was the most outstanding toddler you'd ever meet. She loved doing hair and cell phones...she was so smart! Shai-Shai loved her family very much and even though she was the baby, she was also the big sister. She also loved dressing up and taking care of her baby doll. Like most children, she was so full of energy and was always on the go! Sha'Quille received her little wings on April 21, 2016. She was a such a joy to her family and she will never be forgotten. She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Montorre Kornegay; father, Courtenay Block; three brothers, Montorion D.L. Kornegay, Ta'Shawn S. Block and Mon'Quile C. Kornegay; one sister, Zi'Ayhor Kornegay; grandparents, Courtenay Christian, Pamela Block, Haven Parrish, Sr. and Pamela Kornegay; uncles, Haven Parrish, Jr. and Carl Wiley, Jr.; aunts, Dalesia Kornegay and LaKesia Parrish; special cousin, Joshua Jones and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 30, 2:00 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the chapel.
