Inous Carole 'Sookie' Revels, 63, KCMO, passed away on February 13, 2017. She was born December 26, 1953 to the union of Robert and Barbara (Mayberry) Revels in Kansas City, Missouri. Her parents; two brothers, Rusty Revels and Leroy Revels; one sister, Rita Revels; son, Michael Revels; nephew, Rickey Revels; niece, Barbara 'Missy' Revels and great nephew, Eevanis Verge Mays all preceded her in death. As lifelong area resident, Inous was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri School District and attended Lincoln High School. She was a compassionate and loving family oriented woman with a big heart. Affectionately known as 'Sookie', she loved cooking, laughing and spending time with her family, but she really enjoyed dancing. To know Sookie was to love her, she never met a stranger and would give to anybody in need if she had it. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her memory: her significant other of twenty-seven years, Gordon Wilson; three sons, Alonzo Revels, Charles Revels and Fred Bates; three daughters, Andrea Bates, LaTonya Bates (Rafee Price) and Frankie Rodriquez; four brothers, Robert Revels, Butch Allen, Tracy Revels and Terry Revels; two sisters, Margaret Revels and Rosa Revels; twenty grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins other relatives and many friends. Memorial services will be Saturday, February 25, 10:00 a.m. at Southside Christian Church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
