Obituary

Jacqueline "Jakki" Alizabeth Overton, 35, of Lee's Summit, departed this life on April 3, 2018.

A gathering for family and friends to celebrate Jakki's life will be held at 2pm at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 10000 James A. Reed Road in Kansas City. Following the celebration, a repast will be held at The Yellow Rock Barn at 8307 Westridge Road in Raytown. Online condolences can be shared with her family at www.duaneharveyfuneraldirectors.com.

Jakki was born July 28, 1982 in Belleville, IL; son of Jesse (Debra) Overton and Irma (John) Frye. She graduated from Blue Springs South High School and went on to continue her education at Central Missouri State University and National American University. Jakki spent several years working at Nana's TLC, taking care of many, many children she loved dearly and they loved her. She then worked as a CNA, continuing to care for people, like the great nurturer she was.

Jakki was baptized a Jehovah's Witness and was a dedicated servant of Jehovah for many years and attended the Raytown Congregation.

Jakki enjoyed many different activities, including dancing, sewing, and modeling. She was a very creative artist and an amazing seamstress. She was affectionately known as Kiki by her nephews and nieces, who loved her dearly and will miss her very much.

In addition to her parents, her family includes her brothers, Jonathan Overton and Jerry (Josephine) Overton (niece Paige and nephew Jay); sister Jeanette (Brian) Evans (nephews Fredrick and Hudson and niece Gabrielle); maternal grandmother Elizabeth Jackson, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Jakki was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, James; her paternal grandmother, Maggie; her maternal grandfather, Fred.
