James C. Bradley Jr. was born January 11, 1946, to the late Alice T. Bradley and James C. Bradley Sr. in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
He attended school in Grady, Arkansas and later moved to Kansas City, Missouri where he attended and graduated from Manual High School in 1964.
James professed his hope in Christ at an early age under the leadership of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Grady Arkansas. After relocating to Kansas City, Missouri he joined Faith Tabernacle Ministry under the guidance of his mother Evangelist Alice T. Bradley and continued his walk of faith.
In 2010 he rejoined and accepted the responsibility and calling to become a Deacon of New Day Tabernacle Ministry under the leadership of his brother, the late Pastor Quincy D. Bradley. James served faithfully in the Sunday School Ministry until the resolution of the ministry. After the resolution of New Day Tabernacle Ministry, he joined in fellowship with Memorial Church International Ministry under the leadership of Apostle Larry B. and Pastor Olivia C.Q. Aiken.
James had an entrepreneur spirit and worked hard at the jobs he did. While living in Chicago he operated his own film delivery service. For the last several years he was faithfully employed as the assistant manager of Sakki Food Mart.
James touched the lives of so many people through his presence, always being available to help others, his outgoing spirit of never being a stranger to anyone he met, and his wonderful and witty words of encouragement. He enjoyed boxing and received many awards in the Golden Gloves. He also enjoyed watching sports and playing dominos with friends. James had a very sophisticated style, from his brim hats, nice suits, and Florsheim shoes polished and crisp.
James Bradley Sr. (Bradley/Big Fellow) as friends called him was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and loved ones.
He was proceeded in death by his mother Evangelist Alice T. Bradley, his father James C. Bradley Sr., brothers Rev. Curley Bradley, Andre Bradley, and Cornelius Washington and Pastor Quincy Bradley Sr., his sister Joyce Bradley Johnson, and cousin Rev. Frank Fleming.
He leaves and cherished memories to his son Christopher Guyton, sisters: Cheri B. Morrow and Karen Bradley of Kansas City Mo., brother: Townsend Burnett Sr. of Chicago Illinois, Sister-in-law Patricia Bradley of Kansas City, Mo., companion and friend Patricia Weaver, a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, cousins, and many friends.
